Photography is funny. You get on airplanes, travel the world. All along the way you carry this little black machine, with its funny glass eye staring at the world. You press the button thousands of times, making digital imprints in the machine's little brain. Then you get home, offload all of those little electronic memories, and share them with people you know. They are strange, rectangular approximations of all the places, people, and moments you tried to capture. But, after all of that traveling, that's what you have. Well, along with your actual memories and any trinkets or souvenirs you happened to pick up along the way...
