Photographs are like extremely fine-grained ethnographic details, just waiting for contextual cues to be wrapped around them. That's why sometimes it's interesting to leave those cues out, and sometimes it's absolutely critical that they are included. You can fill in the blanks with these photographs, and maybe I'll tell you more about them another time.
